I am a dedicated woman originally from India, and I have been residing in the United States for a decade. I relocated to the U.S. in 2002 after marrying an American citizen and have been living with my in-laws ever since. I am now a mother to two wonderful boys; one is five years old and has just started kindergarten, while the other is just beginning to crawl. We are a large, loving Indian family that holds higher education in high regard. Therefore, my entire family supports my decision to return to school and pursue the Master’s Entry Clinical Nurse Program at ____.

I believe I am well-suited for your program as I possess a B.S. in Biological Sciences, covering zoology, botany, and chemistry. I have also completed some coursework in the U.S., including Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy. I chose nursing as my career path due to my scientific background, and I find caring for the ill to be the most fulfilling career, possibly because of my compassionate nature. I started working towards my goal six years ago and took the first step by completing the prerequisite classes. From the outset, I was captivated by the idea of a career in Nursing, particularly because I had the opportunity to work at Rajindra Hospital in my hometown of Patiala, where I was part of the Pediatric Department. Due to the polluted water in the area, underprivileged children aged 2 to 7 often fell severely ill, and some even died. Waterborne diseases such as typhoid, cholera, stomach flu, and vomiting are common where I grew up. I worked closely with pediatricians during all stages of treatment.

I am confident that now is the right time to pursue higher education and prepare for future advancements and challenges. Thank you for considering my application, and I hope that next year will bring new opportunities and a brighter future by being accepted into your program. I am eager to elevate my studies and pursue a graduate career in nursing. Your MECN Program offers an excellent platform for building a new professional life and a better future for myself and my family. I value the increased job opportunities that come with graduate education and am incredibly proud to be part of a profession so in demand today. If accepted into your program, I will bring my heart, mind, and soul, distinguishing myself as an exceptionally dedicated student.

____’s world-renowned research institute is the ideal place for me to continue advancing my studies. Upon completing the MECN/prelicensure MSN Degree program, I intend to practice as a pediatric nurse. Children are the light of my life, and my qualifications and greatest strengths lead me in this direction. I aspire to dedicate a lifetime of study to Pediatric Nursing, which requires progressive leadership in healthcare delivery for clients from ethnically diverse cultural backgrounds. I am particularly excited about working with an academic-oriented hospital where I could contribute to research. I am also highly interested in community-based nursing and look forward to participating in these endeavors in our local area.
