I am a nursing professional from India currently residing and working in Houston. At 33, I believe it's the ideal time to pursue advanced studies to enhance my career. Alongside my B.S. in Nursing, I have also completed a Master's degree. I am passionate about supporting the vulnerable members of our society and hold a deep respect for advanced education. My goal is to become a certified nurse professional in anesthesia, as I believe it offers the opportunity to reach my highest professional potential.
I have gathered extensive experience over the years, including more than three years as a critical care nurse, one year as a nursing educator, one year as a nurse manager, and three years as a floor nurse. I aim to further my knowledge and skills by enrolling in your highly esteemed program. I am greatly impressed by the autonomy and the diverse skills required in the field of nurse anesthesia, which I consider the most fulfilling career path. Observing some of my colleagues in nurse anesthesia school undergoing rigorous training has inspired me to embrace this challenge. I am eager to enhance my skills as a nurse.
I am particularly interested in conducting research on pain management for cancer patients and aspire to have the privilege of teaching in my field. My dedication to nursing research is as strong as my commitment to practice, which is why I have volunteered at a rehabilitation center for cancer patients to gain deeper insights into their challenges. My work experience spans ICU nursing (medical and surgical), cardiovascular and thoracic surgery ICU, Telemetry, Nursing supervision, and Nursing instruction. With nearly a decade of experience in various nursing settings, I possess the maturity and motivation needed to excel in your program. I thrive in environments involving acute and critically ill patients in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery ICUs and hold a critical care nursing certification.
With significant experience in handling monitoring and treatment equipment, I work at one of the world’s most renowned hospitals. At the University of ____ Cancer Center, I particularly value the collaboration among clinical nurse specialists and nursing experts. My experiences at the Cancer Center have greatly inspired me and boosted my confidence and motivation to join your program. I have a genuine passion for nursing and a quick learning ability. I excel under pressure and continuously refine my multitasking skills.
My ultimate dream is to make a substantial contribution to the research literature in Nursing Anesthesia. My supportive husband, an MRI and CT scan technologist, provides me with additional strength, allowing me to fully dedicate myself to your program. Having spent the first 27 years of my life in India, growing up near paddy fields with cows roaming the streets, I hold a sentimental connection to my homeland. I hope to return to India one day to train nurses and make a contribution to my community.
